Author Spotlight – G.P.A.

Welcome to the first of hopefully many spotlights on the authors I am meeting as part of my adventures in publishing!  This is an experimental segment of my blogging process, so if anyone has any questions, comments, or observations, please feel free to share them with me.  Either comment on this post or email Dani at  And see the bottom of this post for further announcements from Wandering Stars Press!

Now, on to today’s spotlight.  He calls himself the Greatest Poet Alive, and while I’m no judge of poetry, I do find his work to be tantalizing and vivid.  Today, GPA is sharing a racy excerpt from Revenge of the Orgasm and a little bit about himself.

972293_295982353871158_1159428758_nBio: G.P.A. stands for Greatest Poet Alive. He is the author of four books of Poetry(The Confessional Heart of a Man, The Book of 24 Orgasms, The Mind of a Poetic Unsub, and Revenge of the Orgasm). G.P.A. has been nominated for three consecutive years as Poet of the Year. Additionally, two of his books have been nominated for Book of the Year. The Book of 24 Orgasms, a chapbook, placed second on UBAWA’s Bestsellers Top 25 List of Best Urban Fiction Books for 2012. He is the two time Moth Storytelling Champion, has won and placed in the Poetry Pentathlon (A Waiting for the Bus Poetry Competition), and was a 2013 semifinalist in the Gwendolyn Brooks Open Mic Awards.  G.P.A. has a penchant for the turning members of the estrogen race on without ever laying a hand on them, while allowing his fellow man to see through his poems. And during performances, oh my Gosh!! There is a reason why he is known as the Most Electrifying Man in Poetry.

Excerpt (from Revenge of the Orgasm): 908963_608986059115735_1384376024_n

Beautiful woman is wearing a black, Donna Karan dress that was long but short enough. My thumb is short but was found to be long enough. She sat demurely like a lady would; her legs were spread wide enough. Thumb did not enter fully, yet it made geometric shapes, occasionally grazing seventh letter spot, and causing chasm to drip nectar, so I guess thumb had delved deep enough. Her moans were inaudible to all around us; however, I could hear them clearly and discern my name as she spoke it, and this told me they were loud enough.

In a reversal of fortune, my pants were affixed around my waist with belt pulled tightly, but obelisk found freedom because she had pulled zipper down enough. Nowhere near a granite state, still brown skin turned purplish while vein protruded prominently, so I was hard enough. Not on her knees, yet she was able to inhale and exhale, descend and ascend upon my appendage showing she had room enough. Apex arrival had not yet, but eyes saw back, top, and front of brain, breath became scarce, and tumescence began to make its appearance, signaling that I was close enough.

As the taxi weaved through downtown Chicago, it turned onto the ramp to the Outer Drive. The cab driver ignored all that was going on in his backseat. It would seem the twenty dollar tip I gave him at the beginning of the ride… Was enough

Wow!  Do you all need a moment alone after that?  I just might!  Make sure you follow G.P.A.’s links to his facebook, twitter, and website to find out all the most recent updates!
